OUR PROVISION

Our Provision

We are housed in a homely and welcoming Georgian grade 2 listed building that provides ample space for young children to enjoy a rich variety of experiences. Operating in mixed age, family groups each of the rooms in the house offer different types of learning opportunities including art, construction, role-play and storytelling.

Children are able to access the varied and stimulating environment with the support of their key person who knows them well. Children are also given the space to rest, relax or sleep both indoors and outdoors during the day.

Children are able to access the outdoors easily with suitable outdoor clothing readily available to keep them warm, comfortable and safe. Our very extensive outdoor provision is organised to meet the needs of all children.
The ½ acre Nature Garden is designed for children from birth to three to get to know themselves, develop relationships and explore the natural environment.

The 1 acre Forest Garden provides extensive opportunities for older children (3-5 and school age) to further challenge their physical, creative and emotional learning. Children can grow plants in the vegetable plot, climb in the rhododendron trees and dig in the huge beach-like sandpit. Children, supported by staff, can move between the two gardens to make the most of what is on offer and often play with siblings and cousins of all ages.

We are blessed with 4.5 acres of wonderland ancient woodland, accessible directly from the garden. Throughout the year, children can make expeditions into this magical and adventurous world. This adds an exceptional additional layer to our outdoor provision.
